Elizabeth Cholis is a Partner at Dentons Global Advisors and is based in the New York office. For more than 20 years, Ms. Cholis has advised clients across industries on crisis planning and communications strategy around imminent or breaking issues, including litigation, employment matters, regulatory scrutiny, government investigations and business disruptions, among others.
Ms. Cholis also works frequently with clients to ensure crisis preparedness, including assessing a company’s state of readiness, conducting simulation drills, designing new corporate crisis management systems and implementing an effective framework for evaluating emerging situations.
Most recently, Ms. Cholis was a Managing Director in the Crisis and Litigation practice at FTI Consulting. Prior to joining FTI, she was a senior vice president and co-head of Ruder Finn’s Corporate Advisory Group, where she provided a broad range of issues planning, litigation support and crisis management services to corporate clients. Ms. Cholis was also a managing associate at Chlopak, Leonard, Schechter & Associates (CLS), a boutique Washington, DC-based public relations firm. At CLS, she provided litigation, crisis and public affairs communications counsel to a variety of corporate, non-profit and association clients.
Previously, Ms. Cholis was responsible for all public relations surrounding the public policy initiatives at the Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA) and gained broad strategic communications experience at The Hawthorn Group, a Washington, DC-based public affairs firm.
Ms. Cholis holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University and furthered her International Business studies abroad at Universität Wien in Vienna, Austria.
