Muni Jensen

Muni Jensen is a Partner at Dentons Global Advisors Government Affairs where she uses her experience and expertise in the public and private sector and as a former Latin American diplomat and trade counselor to advise clients on public affairs, communication strategy, and US-Latin America issues.

She previously worked at the Colombian Embassy and Trade Office in Washington, D.C. for six years under four ambassadors and two administrations. During this time, Ms. Jensen focused on Congressional and Government relations in the campaign to ratify the U.S.-Colombia Free Trade Agreement, as well as serving as Press Counselor and Spokesperson to the Ambassadors. Before Washington, she worked at the Cali Chamber of Commerce division of International Trade and as Vice President for Market Intelligence of Procolombia, the country´s trade, investment, and tourism agency.

She co-hosted the global affairs podcast Altamar for seven years, and is the international editorialist and award-winning columnist on international affairs for El País, Colombia’s second-largest newspaper. She is a frequent political analyst for world news on Spanish-language television programs. She has worked on media and academic partnerships with Georgetown University, Latin Trade, the Woodrow Wilson Center, and El País Spain among others. She co-wrote an award-winning book in Spanish about the 2018 U.S. election.

Ms. Jensen earned a M.A. in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University,  a B.A. from Trinity University in Washington, D.C., majoring in Political Science and Latin American Studies. She received a certificate in Public Policy through a joint program between Universidad Externado de Colombia and Columbia University.
