All are based in Washington, D.C. and join from DLA Piper’s Federal Law and Policy practice group, where Mr. Bernstein was a partner and Mr. Merrigan served as co-chair.

“I am delighted to have Mac, John and their team join Dentons Global Advisors. This further strengthens our senior team as we continue to offer best-in-class solutions to those navigating turbulent geopolitical business conditions across the globe,” said Edward Reilly, Chief Executive Officer of Dentons Global Advisors. “I look forward to working with them as we continue building and integrating Dentons Global Advisors’ capabilities globally.”

“We have admired and worked for years with Ed Reilly, Joe Andrew, Elliott Portnoy and many others at Dentons and Dentons Global Advisors, and we are excited to be joining forces with a group of such highly respected professionals, policy experts, and longtime friends,” said Mr. Bernstein. “The caliber of the Dentons Global Advisors team, the unique connection with Dentons including its Public Policy Practice, as well as the opportunity to help build something truly distinctive in the marketplace is a major attraction for us.”

These are the latest high-profile hires in the firm’s rapidly growing U.S. Government Relations offering. Since its founding in January 2022 by a senior team of policy experts, Capitol Hill staff and campaign veterans, the practice has grown to 17 professionals.

“This outstanding group comes to us with decades of experience advising and advocating for clients on complex, high-stakes U.S. and global legal, regulatory, legislative and policy strategies,” said Shannon Brushe, partner at Dentons Global Advisors. “Mac, John, Jessica and Stephanie are powerful complements to our existing strengths and further position us to help clients navigate complex, high-stakes issues.”

These new additions bring broad experience in foreign affairs and multinational issues management, and will collaborate closely with experts from around Dentons Global Advisors’ international network.
